I International Workshop on Isotopes for Tropical Ecosystem Studies

The workshop will host a series of keynote lectures oriented to present the state of the art of isotope research within the interest topics of the IsoNet.

Dr. Kurita is a research scientist in climatology at the Institute for Space-Earth Environmental Research (ISEE) at Nagoya University in Japan. His main work focuses on the hydrological cycle of the atmosphere and its role in the climate system. Dr. Kurita's research includes the use of stable water isotope tracers as a tool to identify key constrains in the hydrological cycle. He has been engaged in the organization of a daily basis precipitation network over the Asia-Pacific region and the development of the isotope-enabled global circulation model iso-GCM. His ongoing research includes the project "Interannual isotopic variability of Asian precipitation and its influence on the Asian monsoon"
